Critique on two film adaptions of Macbeth
Students will pair up for this assignment. Students will watch the two adaptions of Macbeth Act 1 scene I. While watching the film excerpts they will note things such as plot, characterization and dramatic devices as it relates to the theme and dramatic presentation of the play Macbeth. Students will collaborate on their findings which may include additional research and present an oral presentation of what they found significant in the viewing. Students are required to submit a written response regarding their findings.

1 x 10 marks for oral presentation
1 x 5 marks for written report
- students may use any visual aids they want in their oral presentation such as PowerPoint, posters, Smartboard
- presentation will last five minutes and outline some key features that students discovered in their viewing regarding theme or dramatic presentation
- a written report must be submitted following presentation
- students will be marked on spelling and grammar
- presentation will be marked on content
